I just need to put this up here. ❤
I cannot wait for the Avengers movie.
Also, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye? That’s just awesome, dudes.
So LOL, I quit my Project 365 at Day 4. Who am I kidding? With the state of our internet connection at home (nonexistent), I will never be able to log-in anytime I want. Sigh.
So I’ve been immersing myself reading. I’ve been so obsessive with the books I’ve been reading lately. I stayed up really late finishing Mockingjay, cause I seriously could not put it down. Now, I’m doing a marathon of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. I’m on the final book now. I bring it with me everywhere I go. So, so addictive.
I’ve still got a long list of stuff I haven’t read yet. So after this series, I promise not to buy anything new first. I’ve gotta read these first:
So many books to read! I get giddy just thinking of it.Then there are the new Japanese movies and series Sharkboy and I picked up. I love the movies’ over-the-top violence. You’ve got to hand it to the Japanese, they never hold anything back.
So, yeah. That’s my life right now.
Peter and MaryJane’s love story just makes me weep 😦 This is one of the most poignant moments in comic book history, in my opinion. It’s unbearably sad to see such a pure love be taken away with such finality.
Reading this puts the Scott-Jean Grey love angle to shame. Now, this is what a real comicbook love should be.
Le sigh. I can’t wait for these two to rediscover their love for each other.
To my very own comicbook sweetie,
Thank you for getting me this book, even if it was YOUR birthday when you got it for me. Thank you for reminding me of Marvel’s wonders 😉 Thank you for sharing with me these emotions.
I love you always,
Labor Day weekend rundown:
The weekend was laid-back and hectic at the same time and I enjoyed it immensely. I guess Sharkboy and I crammed everything at once, ’cause the next couple of weeks will be pretty busy for us work-wise, and that was probably one of the last chillax weekends we’ll be having in a long while. So, yeah. A weekend well-spent and well-enjoyed. LIFE SHOULD ALWAYS BE THIS GOOD. ❤
Attended Renaissance last Sunday at Megamall, which is like Manila’s own Comic Con. Sharkboy and I literally geeked out at all these Comic Book artists in one place, mingling and being so nice to all their fans.
Love your own! These Pinoy comic book artists are unsung heroes. We should pay tribute to them more. Do you know that a LOT of our artists have worked for Disney, Pixar, Marvel and DC? We need more publicity for these guys. Let’s give equal exposure to them for being so great and whooping some serious ass in the international comic book/cartoon scene.
Anyway, here’s our Geek Out Sunday, in pictures.
(and on a sidenote: I LOVE MY 35 MM LENS. IT IS SO GREAT FOR INDOOR SHOTS.)
Then a quick visit to Toy Kingdom
Aaaand THAT’S how geeks spend a perfect day. ❤
First off, welcome February!
I won’t bother you guys with the mush for now. But you just wait and see, I have somethin’ prepared for the V-Day post. HEEHEE.
Note to self: At the first twinge of a headache, take painkillers ASAP. I had a massive, head-splitting, exhausting headache last night, which totally ruined my plan to work on my Secret Work Project* last night. Deadline’s coming up fast and I am *almost* in panic mode.
February is also coffee month! Because of my alternate coffee month resolution, I get to have coffee this month! Hooray!
I had a “shoot” with one of my closest friends last weekend. She needed some photos for her modeling set card, I needed to get out and shoot with my new lens. So yay! We did FIVE outfit changes (plus, make-up!), in two locations in Makati. The guards did not disappoint and made it a point to bugger the hell out of us while shooting. We had so much fun, and I cannot wait to schedule another shoot, this time, hopefully, with more helping hands? It’s tough taking photos while shushing the guards. Haha. Can’t wait to review the photos and have them printed!
Oh, Sharkboy and I are on this massive comic book kick. I am gradually re-entering the Marvel Universe and it is so addicting. Methinks this will be good for me, ’cause I need to improve on my dialogue-writing skills.
Aaaand… because I have nothing else to write, I think I’ll just post a photo of my favorite flower to shoot (next to daisies, that is). It won’t be part of Project 52, though, since I took this photo last December. I adore these blooms. They are just so pretty to photograph. They always come out looking velvety and smooth and romantic. ❤ Enough yammering, here it is. 😀
See? So tiny yet pretty!
Okay, I’ve got to stop procrastinating now, ’cause it’s lunch time! HARHAR!
Ahhh, Christmas, how I love thee.
I finished wrapping almost 90% of my gifts. I am very pleased with the results. My co-workers are receiving a very Holiday-looking gift. Red striped wrapper, shiny green ribbon and a candy cane treat! YAY *U* Upon seeing my gifts, my sister said, “I want to receive a gift from you now.” BEST COMPLIMENT EVAR.
As the usual Holiday rush attests, it’s one late night after another. All worth it, though. Highest point last week? AVATAR SCREENING. Thanks to Sharkboy’s co-worker’s girlfriend (WHEW), we snagged free passes to the 3D screening. It’s such an AWESOME MOVIE (caps lock, yes. They make me happy). Y’all should catch Avatar now before the MMFF rears it’s head into the theaters.
So, I’m feeling a bit congested with a bad cold? No problemo. I can still scrounge up some Christmas cheer. Of course I can, everybody’s being so generous and helpful, contributing their resources for our IPG Outreach on the 27th. I’ve got a box-ful of goodies for infants, and more to come. I still have to do the groceries from the money we collected. Yay for these blessings. 🙂
Aaaand, for my Christmas gift to anyone who happens to hop onto this page, I am posting the cutest and snuggliest creatures I’ve found over at that addicting blogsite known as Tumblr (don’t be hatin’ WordPress, I still love you!). So here ya go!
Have a wonderful Christmas, guys! =)
